Sapa is a hill station which was built by the French in 1900, and locates at the high latitude of 1650m above the Sea level. Sapa is very famous for its beautiful mountainous landscape, the terrace rice fields, the hill tribes, the valley, the waterfalls.

This journey gives you a great train experience in Vietnam.

NIGHT 1: BOARDING THE TRAIN IN HANOI ( SOFT SLEEPER)

DAY 3: SAPA - VILLAGE - LAO CAI - NIGHT TRAIN

NIGHT 1: HANOI - LAO CAI - SAPA - OVERNIGHT TRAIN : Lao Cai

Night 1: The guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel, and then transfer you to the train station: The guide will take you  to the right cabin for boarding.

(Soft sleepers, free botles of water )

Note: There is no dinning cabin on the train. You should have dinner before the boarding time: ( 1 hour before the train moves)

There are some different trains to Sapa, you must check your company what time the train leaves. The late one leaves at 22.00 PM

DAY 1: LAO CAI ARRIVAL - SAPA - TREKKING in Villages (B/L): Sapa

You will arrive in Lao Cai City at 5.00 AM, check out the train and have your breakfast at hotel or at a local restaurant in Sapa

( Sapa is about 37Km from Lao Cai City, when you get there only by bus or by train. And this journey is uphill with beautiful landscape if the weather is nice)

- After your breakfast, check in hotel and start your trip to visit the tribal villages. Such as H'mong Villages

- Have a short trek to Lao Chai Village & Ta Van Village, which are 12 km from Sapa ( the distance of trekking is about 7Km/ 2hours)

Option 1: Get back to Sapa for shower and visit the town by yourself.

Option 2: Have homestay in Ta Van Village, you have dinner at home stay and sleep at their home

Advice: Don't have home stay in the winter time (from Dec to March), it is too cold as the villagers have no heating system here. The local house is very basic, they have no air-con and no heating at all.

DAY 2: SAPA - TRAM TON - WATER FALLS - CABLE CAR - SAPA (B/L): Sapa

After your breakfast, you will start your trip at 9.00 Am, just to wait for the fog is clear out.  Your trip today is Tram Ton Peak and Silver Water falls ( 16Km from Sapa)

- Go up hill by car to Tram Ton Pass ( 1900m), where you can see the difference between Sapa side and Lai Chau side. It is usually clear view on Lai Chau side. And you can see the road trail down the hill. Take you picture at the peak stop for a great background.

- After the peak of Tram Ton Pass. You get to see the famous waterfalls here ( 4Km). This water falls is called "Thac Bac" or "Silver Waterfalls)

- On the way back to Sapa, stop over for Cable Car trip to Fansipan Mount. This peak we call "the roof of Indochina" as the biggest mountain (3143m) in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia: The cable car was opened in 2013 as the longest non-stop cable car in the world. You will see the best panorama of Muong Hoa Valley in Sapa from the cable car.

- Get back to Sapa for lunch at a restaurant and have free time.  STAY AT HOTEL

DAY 3: SAPA - TA PHIN VILLAGE - LAO CAI BORDER GATE (B/L): Lao Cai

This morning, you will have a free time to visit the town. The highlights for you are the Church, The lake, and local Market

In the afternoon, check out at 12.00, and have your lunch : Drive 15Km from Sapa for Ta Phin Village, where you can see and talk to Red Dao Trib, visit their houses and learn some traditional culture here.

- Get back to the train station in Lao Cai City, stop at the Vietnam - China Border (3km from station) to see how Vietnam - China control the border line .

- Go to a local restaurant and have your own dinner, the guide will board you at the right train cabin. STAY OVERNIGHT ON TRAIN

At 5.00 Am, you will arrive in Hanoi train station.
