Once the main port of Cambodia’s Mekong territory, Saigon became the capital of France’s Cochin China and later the capital of the Republic of Vietnam. Day 02: SAIGON - MY THO (MeKong River Boat Trip) (B,L,D): My Tho City

My Tho is about 70 Km from Saigon – about 2,00 hour drive. When you arrive in Ben Tre, you take a walking trip to visit the fruit garden and take then boat trip through the channels to visit the coconut farm in the Mekong River and visit some farms and taste the local products. Lunch will be back at My Tho at a restaurant near the river. On the way back, you visit VinhTrang Pagoda which was built in 1849 by a Buddhist monk named Hue Dang using funds collected from practitioners. Arrive in Saigon at 17.00 pm.In Late afternoon, you wander up to Ben Thanh Market for shopping and Dinner.

Today we have a full day tour of Saigon visiting the Presidential Palace, the War Remnants Museum, the Free World Building, Canberra BEQ, site of former Australian Embassy, Take photos of the Old Church & Post Office , plus other locations such as the Jade Pagoda which was built in 19th Century and the former U.S President ever visited it in 2016. This morning we leave Saigon for Vung Tau at about 9.30 AM and enjoy a leisurely drive down to the coast. We will view the country landscape on the way .  We will do check in first and you have lunch by yourself .
 In the afternoon, we have a short city tour in Vung Tau visiting the Museum of White Palace,  a local Market.

After breakfast at hotel, you will check out and drive back to Saigon for the flight to DANANG - HOI AN - Get back to Saigon to catch our flight to Da Nang. Picked up at airport and shuttled to Hoi An stopping on the way to look at Marble Mountain and My Khe Beach. Book into hotel and then free time till dinner for shopping. Dinner at the old town.

Today, you will have a walking tour for an early discovery tour of Hoi An ancient town as a World Cultural Heritage and visit some of the ancient buildings including the Japanese covered bridge, the PhukKien Chinese Town Hall, Temples, the typical old house in Hoi An, local market on the river side of Hoi An.And have a Cooking class for lunch at a restaurant. Shopping for those who have fittings and others can wander around the town or the beach.

Today, you will travel over 25km to Ba Na Hills, where you will get the longest cable car to top of mountain for an amusement park, Open to the public in March 2009, the Ba Na Hills Cable Car has received four Guinness World Records, including longest single-wire cable car system (5,042.52 metres), In the afternoon we keep going to Son Tra Penisula in Danang City to visit Linh Ung Pagoda, where you can see a giant 67m Buddha Statue.

Check out hotel and Bus pick up at 8.30 AM (Hue is about 150 KM from Hoi An / 3 hour drive) , drive through Hai Van Pass and go down to stop at Lang Co Beach.
After lunch, Start tour to the Citadel of Hue, visit Forbidden City of the royal Nguyen Dynasty, which was built from 1802 to 1945.And drive to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, which is considered as the first Buddhist Pagoda in Hue, built in 1601. Day 12: HUE - VINH MOC TUNNELS - DONG HOI (B,L,D) : Dong Hoi

(Dong Ha Town is 80 km from Hue City/ and 80 km from Dong Hoi)
Today, the guide and driver will take you to the Former Border ( DMZ - Demilitarize Zone / 17th parallel ), Ben Hai River and Hien Luong Bridge, You can go inside VinhMoc Tunnel which is much bigger than Cu Chi Tunnels in the South VN. 

VinhMoc (VịnhMốc) is a tunnel complex in Quang Tri, Vietnam. During the Vietnam War it was strategically located on the border of North Vietnam and South Vietnam. The tunnels were built to shelter people from the intense bombing of Son Trung and Son Ha communes in VinhLinh county of Quang Tri Province in the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone. The American forces believed the villagers of VinhMoc were supplying food and armaments to the North Vietnemese garrison on the island of Con Co which was in turn hindering the American bombers on their way to bomb Hanoi. The idea was to force the villagers of VinhMoc to leave the area but as is typical in Vietnam there was nowhere else to go. The villagers initially dug the tunnels to move their village 10 metres underground but the American forces designed bombs that burrowed down 10 metres. Eventually against these odds, the villagers moved the village to a depth of 30 metres. It was constructed in several stages beginning in 1966 and used until early 1972. The complex grew to include wells, kitchens, rooms for each family and spaces for healthcare. Around 60 families lived in the tunnels; as many as 17 children were born inside the tunnels.. Return to Hue via Highway No.1.
After lunch at a local restaurant in Dong Ha, a town of Quang Tri, you keep going to Dong Hoi, Quang Binh Province (keep driving 80 km up North) for overnight here.

Day 13: DONG HOI - PHONG NHA CAVES (B,L,D): Dong Hoi

At 08:30am, Our bus and tour guide will pick up guests in Dong Hoi, you will explore the most impressive Phong Nha caves as a World Natural Heritage (50 km about the city, 45 minutes driving). After 25 minutes on boat, visitors will arrive Phong Nha cave, take a couple hours to see the cave. This cave is called as water cave, is famous for its rock formation which has been given names such as the “Lion”, the “Fairy Caves”, the “Royal Court”, and the “Buddha”. Get back to Dong Hoi for lunch and enjoy your swimming at the beach.
Stop over at the relics of Tam Toa Church in Nhat Le riverside built in 1886 by the French, but destroyed by an American bomb in 1965.

Today, the tour guide will take you to the highlight of Hanoi: Including: Ho Chi Minh mausoleum to see Ho’s mummified body & his home.
